mycelium with hyphae going everywhere. If you studied with Stanley at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, chances are you were inoculated. He took photos of every students' work and gave lectures where he would present insanely ambitious ideas as simple progressions. The lights would come on and it would feel as if we had seen work of staggering genius, something insurmountable. All those creations are in these books.
